In a world where humans are consuming millions of new things every day, buying plastic clothing, and not realizing that this is destroying the earth, there will always be Matilda wearing vintage.
In these next few pages, this clown with big eyes and freckles is advising you to start shopping vintage immediately. I’m sharing my favorite places to shop, and why vintage and secondhand is the journey we should all be on. Showcasing the masterpieces that can be found when you shop secondhand. I’m wearing vintage finds from my own collection, and some from my photographer Rebeca Flores Swift’s collection.

vintage jeans from Ghost Town in Arles, France
I like shopping vintage because it’s cool to find pieces from all different eras and personalities in one place. You can combine anything you want and make your own style. The best feeling is when you find something you really wanted, but you find it at a vintage store instead of buying it new, because it will always be a little different and more interesting.

There’s so much clothing already in the world. You don’t need to buy more new clothing when you can invest in what’s already out there. You’ll look and feel better ❤️
